Thousands of people put the "public" in public broadcasting by volunteering their time, talents and energy to Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. (CPTV and WNPR). Whatever your skills, your interests and your schedule, there's an important role for you at one of our many activities and events taking place throughout the year.
Some of the volunteer activities where you can help out and have fun while getting an inside view of Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc., include:
Answer telephones and take pledges when viewers call in their membership support for CPTV and WNPR. For each pledge drive, we also need a few friendly people behind the scenes, working as hosts to our many volunteers and guests by making the coffee, setting up the food and answering questions.
When groups of visitors want to see the WNPR radio studio or the television broadcast home of UConn Women's Basketball, you could be leading the way. We will train you and make sure you have all of the information you'll need to answer our visitors' questions.
Extra hands are always needed to support Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc.'s daily operations. If you enjoy administrative tasks and are available weekdays during regular office hours, we have a place for you.
When the next special event such as a taping of a live performance rolls around, you could be more than just an attendee--you could help us make it happen! Whether you hand out information, take tickets, or spread the word about Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc., you will play a crucial role in the event's success.
