The President is making good on a promise made on the campaign trail, but many see his proposal for that country being little more than an acceleration of the plans left by the Bush administration.

What is different, everyone acknowledges, is a change of tone in engaging the Middle East, the Muslim World, and the fight against terrorism.

Today, Where We Live, we’ll talk with Tareq Ismael, president of the International Centre for Contemporary Middle Eastern Studies and author and editor of numerous works on Iraq and the Middle East. He’s speaking today at Central Connecticut State University.

We’ll talk about US policy toward Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinians. And, we want to hear from you.
