Satire has been around for thousands of years, but it seems like there’s more to make fun of than ever.

Our media-saturated culture gives satirists almost too much to work with…from politics, to blowhard pundits, it’s a good time to try to find the funny in everyday life.

Today, where we live, conversations with two men who make their livelihoods doing political satire.

Dave Javerbaum is The Daily Show’s head writer, and executive producer. He’s also written for The Onion. His new book is called “What to Expect When You're Expected: A Fetus's Guide to the First Three Trimesters.”

Aaron Freeman is an African American, who converted to Judaism, and is now performing at a benefit for Haddassah of Hartford Sunday afternoon.

David Javerbaum will be part of the panel "It's Satire!" at The Connecticut Forum Saturday November 14, 8PM.
