As experienced newspaper reporters lose their jobs, the Columbia Journalism Review is putting them back to work.

Last year, 16,000 American journalists lost their jobs. And the New York Times just announced it would cut 8% of its newsroom staff. These cuts, along with struggling ad revenues and declining readership, are signs that the industry is in crisis.

Today, we'll talk about the future of journalism and about a new fellowship program that is working to get experienced reporters back to business.
