Guns sales have surged since the election of President Obama. The FBI says it is doing 30% more background checks on would-be firearms purchasers than it was doing last year. Meanwhile, last month marked the anniversary of two of the deadliest school shootings in American history. So what are American's saying about guns?
Many are calling for a renewal of the federal ban on assault weapons, a ban which has been expired for five years. Lawmakers here in Connecticut are still considering legislation about a new ballistics technology called micro-stamping. Others are looking to bolster their Second Amendment rights—lobbying lawmakers for the right to carry concealed weapons on college campuses.
