There are more than six and a half billion people in the world.  And many of them have no idea where the food they eat comes from.  It's a strange place we find ourselves in--disconnected from the land we inhabit and the plants and animals that nourish us.  Coming up Where We Live, we'll preview a five part documentary series out from Public Radio International.  Five Farms profiles five American farm families through a year of growing cycles. Producers Wes Horner and John Biewen join us to talk about Five Farms--the work and the people who put food on the table.                  

We'll also talk with Dickson Despommier, who's leading an initiative to start growing the global food supply indoors.
