Men are losing their jobs at a greater rate than women. Employers are cutting hours and instituting furloughs. That could be mean more quality time with family or more stressful squabbles at home.
Economic strain is also hitting families that have already split up. Family courts in Connecticut are seeing a surge in divorced parents looking to change their child support agreements.
