Congressman Joe Courtney has been an advocate for universal health care coverage – so what does he think of the Senate’s bizarre process of getting toward a health reform plan? Today, Where We Live, the 2nd district congressman joins us to talk about the differences in the House and Senate bills.

He’s also been a go-to interview about financial bailouts since he broke with his party to oppose giving money to the “too big to fail banks.” He voted for the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act: we’ll find out what that will do to reign in Wall Street excess.

And, Courtney is behind new aid to dairy farmers – some $290 million – which could come by Christmas.  Join the conversation! What questions do you have for Congressman Courtney?

Current show - Health Care Reform

Hi.

I am happy that the Health Care bill seems to require coverage of people regardless of pre-existing conditions.

However, I have not heard whether there is a cap on the cost.

For example, if I had diabetes and a couple of other illnesses, would I be able to afford health care, even if I wasn't turned down?

Great show!

Thank you.
