Episode Information

Ned Lamont’s 2006 senate race against Joe Lieberman became th enational story about anti-war anger, and proved to be the test case for a new, blogger-driven fundraising effort.
When he beat Lieberman in the Democratic primary, it forever changed the Senator’s relationship with the state – and solidified Lamont as a political force.
Now, four years later, he’s running for a very different job – Governor – at a time when that might be one of the most unappealing jobs around. Here are some things we know about Lamont: He’s the front-runner in the race to replace Jodi Rell, according to the Quinnipiac Poll; He says that he wants to create jobs in Connecticut. (Of course, every candidate for Governor is saying the same thing); And, he supports the state’s campaign finance reform efforts, but plans to self-finance this run.
Today, where we live, we’ll continue our series of Where We Vote conversations, and give you a chance to ask questions of Democrat Ned Lamont. We’ll talk about the state’s budget deficit, education, transportation, and more.
