John Dankosky writes:  I was looking forward to this night for a long time.  Over the summer, I got a chance to see Steve's quintet perform in the Litchfield Hills at Music Mountain in Falls Village.  It was a great setting for completely unamplified jazz.  But I figured "The Hartford Suite" would sound even better played in a packed club in the city the music was written for.  I was right.  The band put on an amazing show - captured on video by Front & Center's Ray Hardman - and in digital stills by Chion Wolf.  Her photos give the whole thing the look of a night at the Village Vanguard circa 1961...I was glad to be a part of it.
