Episode Information

Next week, Yale University holds a major conference to explore the emerging alliance of religion and ecology. Called “Renewing hope: pathways of religious environmentalism†- the conference at Yale Divinity School will bring together so-called "eco-theologians" to discuss the challenges and opportunities for environmentalism.
Today, Where We Live, Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim, directors of the Forum on Religion and Ecology will join us. We'll talk about how indigenous cultures blend a concern for the earth with their religious beliefs, how Western religions see their role in preventing climate crises, and the intersections between concerned people of faith, and secular environmentalists.
