After Democrat Diane Farrell twice tried unsuccessfully to unseat 4th District Republican Chris Shays, it's Jim Himes turn.
Himes is a Fairfield County activist and businessman, who made his money at Goldman Sachs and has brought big time investors and anti-war activists together in his campaign against Shays. The Connecticut 4th District is seen as one of the most important, and potentially closest races in the nation this November, and the Cook Political Report puts Shays' seat at risk.
Meanwhile, Himes hopes to catch some momentum from the swell of support for Ned Lamont in 2006. Similarities? Both races have political newcomers running against long-time politicians and the war could be the deciding factor.
Today on Where We Live, we'll continue our series of forums with the candidates for the state's five congressional seats- and give you a chance to join the conversation with Jim Himes.
