Much of the recent speculation about the Obama administration revolves around Hillary Clinton's possible appointment as Secretary of State. The personality-driven speculation has taken away from direct discussion of the top issues that department, and the defense department will have to deal with - with Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and China. Today, conversation with Scott Bates, Vice President of the non-partisan think tank The Center for National Policy in Washington DC. We talked to him just before another overseas trip - and just before the speculation in Washington started heating up about Clinton and the state department. We asked him to talk about the players, the ideas and issues that will be important to national security under the Obama administration.
