 Energy issues are at the heart of everything that’s happened in America over the last few decades.  Dependence on foreign oil, and its role in our foreign policy; investment in renewable resources , balanced with heavy pressure to continue down the same fossil fuel paths; volatile fuel costs, driving up prices of food - and the impact it all has on Global Warming.  Today, we’ll continue our look ahead at the challenges for the Obama administration.

John Dankosky interviews Michael Klare, professor of peace and world securities studies at Hampshire College.  He’s defense correspondent for the Nation Magazine, and author of Rising Power, Shrinking Planet: The New Geopolitics of Energy.
