Martin Fletcher has put himself in danger throughout his nearly 40 year career in journalism.  But his new book isn't just an adventure tale.

Fletcher is NBC's Tel Aviv Bureau Chief, and his new book is Breaking News: A Stunning and Memorable Account of Reporting from Some of the Most Dangerous Places in the World.  As a young reporter with the BBC, he grew bored sitting at a desk, grabbed a camera, and fell straight into a war in Egypt.  His career has taken him to starving African countries, global genocides, and intense civil wars.

In his book, he looks at the work he does, and the way it affects the people he's met - all through the experience of a man who lost most of his family in the holocaust.

Watch Martin Fletcher's interview with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show. He explains why, of all the dangerous places he's been...he hasn't reported on the war in Iraq.
