OTR-On The RecordÂ
This show premiered March 21 at 9:00 p.m. on CPTV. It was rebroadcast on Sunday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. and Monday, March 24 at 11:00 p.m.Â
Joining host Steve Kotchko to provide insight into Connecticut's ecomomy will be Deputy House Speaker Demetrios Giannaros (D-Farmington), professor of economics at the University of Hartford and Robert Porter, assistant professor of finance at Quinnipiac University.
In our Notes from the Capitol segment, Paul Hughes of the Republican American and Jon Lender of The Hartford Courant discus the questions raised about former Governor Rowland's new job as an economic development officer for Waterbury and how he might interact on Waterbury's behalf at the State capitol. The Connecticut Post's Ken Dixon reported that both Rep. Christopher L. Caruso, D-Bridgeport, and Rep. Diana Urban, D-North Stonington, the House chairman and vice chairwoman of the Government Administration and Elections Committee, were concerned that Rowland could be lobbying the state. "It's like making a recovering alcoholic a bartender," Caruso said in an interview. "Or making a convicted robber a bank manager."
