TND:Chillwave / Ghana Special Interview
Host:
Ghana's highlife music scene was facing a lot of change in the 60s and 70s. Music from around the world influenced artists to incorporate soul, funk, reggae, and more into this upbeat style of music. A new compilation, Ghana Special, documents this musical movement, and we've got an interview with the compilation's creator, Miles Cleret.
We're also taking a look at 2009's most blogged genre of music: chillwave. Why was it popular? What does it sound like? I've heard almost every artist with this label, and I'm still not sure.
