Episode Information

California's Sholi are a band to watch. Use binoculars, hire a private detective, follow them to work, whatever. Just keep tabs on them. Their music has the dynamics of a gymnist, and can do twice the tumbles. With it's climbing melodies and math rock rhythms, Sholi's self-titled LP is really something to behold.
We've also got some epic synth rock from Zombi, and a new post-punk prodigy out of China, Ourself Beside Me.
We're finishing up with Black Lips' latest effort, 200 Million Thousand, which is a real tribute to garage and psychedelic rock. The best part is they've managed to recreate the sounds of the 60s without coming off as a revival band. Though this LP isn't easily accessible like their previous album, Good Bad Not Evil, it's important to note the 'Lips have made a real accomplishment here in terms of sound and style.
