Advances in the treatment of HIV/AIDS have extended the life expectencies of patients, but Director Martha Dale and Medical Supervisor Peter Selwin of Leeway explain that these patients are now facing new medical complications, like early heart disease and cancer. Leeway, a pioneering facility located in New Haven, is dedicated solely to the treatment of HIV/AIDS, and will hold its annual fundraiser, A Night at the Academy Awards Gala, on Sunday, February 24.
