About Michael Sloan from his website:
I spent several years working as a printmaker in Paris, France and Venice, Italy. My illustrations first appeared on the Op-Ed page of The New York Times, where I remain a contributor to the Letters column (my 100th Letters illustration was published in 2009). Over the last twenty years I've created illustrations for many internet and print publications, book publishers, academic publications and large corporations, posters and beach balls. My work has been awarded two silver medals from The Society of Illustrators, and has appeared frequently in American Illustration and the Communication Arts illustration annual. I've taught classes in illustration at The Rhode Island School of Design and The University of Connecticut. If you're interested, I have a blog with more information about my work.
