They will be discussing the recent House of Representative's 90-56 vote on Thursday May 14 to abolish the death penalty in Connecticut.
In our "Notes From the Capitol" Segment, Anna Sale from WNPR and Paul Hughes of the Waterbury Republican-American will join Steve Kotchko to talk about The Fair Elections Now Act. This Act was introduced on March 31, 2009 by Sen. Dick Durbin, Sen. Arlen Specter, and Reps. John Larson, Chellie Pingree and Walter Jones. The Fair Elections Now Act provides limited funding for candidate to run a reasonable campaign while agreeing to not accept a contribution larger than $100.00.
