Stamford may be home to Gene Wilder, Cyndi Lauper and the WWE but it's also a hot bed of incredible restaurants! On the next Eating CT, host Jason Hawkins heads to Stamford, sampling some of the city's best cuisine and trust us, there's tons of it! Starting at Brasitas, Jason gets a taste of their upscale, spicy, Latin fusion before venturing to Cafe Silvium for some amazingly authentic old country Italian and a mozzarella-making lesson! Jason visits a local diner that's become a Hollywood movie star, not to mention the doughnuts are amazing too! Plus, Jason checks out the city's hottest French bistro, conquering his fear of exotic foods by eating some frogs legs and snails! Along the way, Jason visits Stamford's oldest house, sits down for an elegant meal with an incredible view at the highly-rated Saltwater Grille and relaxes at Grand with a few designer cocktails while getting a taste of what people are calling the "best Mac and Cheese" in Connecticut! Always leaving room for a good Sicilian pie, Jason finds the Stamford pizza place that Robert DeNiro just couldn't get enough of! Be sure to watch on Thursday October 8th at 8:30 p.m. Only on CPTV!

WELCOME
The state of Connecticut is home to literally thousands of restaurants. They come in all ages, sizes and cuisines. In every city and town (all 169 of them) new restaurants are cropping up everywhere, enticing hungry and adventurous diners with a variety of dishes from a wide range of ethnicities. Cities like Hartford, New Haven and Stamford now rival New York and Boston for the best restaurants. Connecticut is home to an exploding dining scene and a legion of loyal foodies. It can also be said that every restaurant and every city has a story. Now, those stories can be told.
ABOUT EATING CT

Each week, Eating CT takes you to a different city in Connecticut and brings you inside its hottest restaurants...and so much more. From fine dining, to pizza joints, to hole-in-the-wall hamburger stops, if it's food we're there! Along the way, you'll learn all about that city and its history, meeting some really cool people in the process. You'll meet the chefs, owners, wait staff and anyone else behind the scenes. You'll also get the compelling stories behind the restaurants and get "hands on", learning the tasty secrets that make them so special.
