This week marks the fifth anniversary of the Iraq War, and a recent state funded study revealed that at least one of every four newly returned Connecticut soldiers fits the criteria for post-traumatic stress disorder. On the next Front and Center with Ray Hardman, airing on both CPTV and WNPR, Linda Schwartz, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Veteran’s Affairs, joins host Ray Hardman to discuss the survey results, and what the state is doing to help soldiers cope with civilian life.
In addition, a round up of the anti-war movement will be examined. Plus, Paul Janensch, a media commentator and Quinnipiac University journalism professor, will assess the media and their coverage of the Iraq War.
