Episode Information

So a guy walks up to me on Asylum Hill and says he hasn't eaten all day. I said: "You should force yourself."
I go to the track. I bet on a horse. In the race, the jockey's hitting the horse. The horse says, "Why are you hitting me? There's nobody behind us."
Comedy has been with us since the first time a Neanderthal slipped on the peel of a neolithic plaintain. So the bartender says, "You know we don't get a lot of Cro-magnons in here." And the Cro-magnon says, "At these prices you're not gonna get many more."
Today, in addition to channeling Henny Youngman, we'll talk to he author of I'm Dying Up Here, a book about the history of West Coast stand-up comedy in the 1970s. Also, the director of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Goodspeed Opera House and two guys whose show title I refuse to say until I absolutely have to.
It's our special Friday Comedy Show. Leave comments below or email colin@wnpr.org
