Richard Blumenthal is concluding two decades as Attorney General and launching a bid to replace Chris Dodd as Connecticut's U.S. Senator. 

What about the compatibility of doing both of those things at once? Attorney General is kind of an odd job. The modern AG tends to get involved is a lot of causes, but technically speaking, the position has no real policy component. You try to compel compliance with existing laws and represent the state in court.

Senators are all about what they believe. AGs -- at least in theory -- are all about performance.

Thanks for mr. Blumenthall ( spell check?) being on your show. As a member of the working poor, I am a huge fan of his, and I think he will be a blessing in our senate.
As for your diet lady, that is fine if you are rich and have a lot of time on your hands. I'm not going to work a 10 hour shift, then come home and make organic prune cookies for my kids. I have to shop in bulk at Aldi's or super walmart because I HAVE to, not because I want to. Maybe my grandkids will get the home made prune cookies!
