After graduating film school, Justin Donais was looking for a project and began filming his younger brother and his neighborhood friends on a trip back to see family in Glastonbury, Conn.
It started as a short documentary about young teen boys whose lifestyle was influenced by "Jackass," but once that lifestyle brought the boys face to face with the law, and the story grew into something bigger.
"Glastonburykids" emerges as a coming of age story about life in a privileged American suburb, drugs and growing up.
Colin talks with film director Justin Donais and star Ben Wittman. "Glastonburykids" is playing at the Cinestudio at Trinity College in Hartford Saturday, Dec. 19, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.
