In this episode:

Catch up with the new Speaker of the House, Christopher Donovan and House Republican leader Rep. Lawrence Cafero

The Legislative Session opened Wednesday and with it will be more than the usual balancing act of the wants, needs and desires of constituents. It boils down to this: the state government collects money (taxes, fees, etc) and provides services. Allowing for the argument about efficiencies, if less money goes in, fewer services come out. Nobody wants to pay more, yet nobody wants to receive less.

But with the country in a recession, to which the wealthiest state in the country is not immune, our state government can not be all things to all people in the coming year. Making key decisions that will shape what Connecticut does in response will be our guests the new Speaker of the House, Christopher Donovan and House Republican leader Rep. Larry Cafero.
