Stefania Cambanis is a junior at Fairfield University. An aspiring poet with a triple major in Creative Writing, Economics and Marketing with a minor in Accounting. She is attending The Creative Mind Gala in New York City, she participates in an on campus group called Poetry by Stealth, she conducted Oral Histories in New Orleans over the spring break of 2010 with the St. Bernard Project, the 2008 CNN Hero of Year, she has served as a judge for Poets for Peace Competition for kindergarden through high school students in Bridgeport and Connecticut for two consecutive years and she was kindly invited to the the launch of The Mezzo Cammin Women Poets Timeline Project in Washington DC. She has also served as the Associate editor of Dogwood, the nationally acclaimed journal of Fairfield University. Lastly, she was invited to the AWP conference in Denver for the Spring of 2010. All of this would not have been possible without the guidance and support of her Professor Dr. Kim Bridgford and she would like to thank Professor Kim for the opportunities she has been given. She is honored to be with us today to discuss the significance of the timeline in terms of global and women's issues.
