After graduating from Hartwick College in 1998, Randy Collins went to work for then Lt Gov Jodi Rell. Afterwards, he became a lobbyist inHartford. Collins joined the Marines (reserve) in 2001 and graduated boot camp on September 7 of that year, four days before the towers fell. He deployed with the Marines in 2003 and again in 2006--the second tour being a seven month tour as a team leader with a Marine rifle company in Fallujah. Collins got out of the Marines in June 2007 and got married that July and lives with his wife in West Hartford where he continues to work as a lobbyist.
