Paul Choiniere is the editorial page editor of The Day. Before being appointed to that position in May 2007, Choiniere worked nearly 20 years as a reporter for the newspaper, covering a wide variety of topics, including municipal government, the nuclear industry, health, the environment, regional development issues and politics. He did his growing up in Providence and is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
