Lucy covers news stories in the Connecticut region and coordinates reporters' daily news assignments. She also organizes morning and afternoon newscasts. Lucy has worked in several states as a public radio reporter since starting out at WDUQ in Pittsburgh. While at WNPR, her stories often focus on immigration issues in the state, including New Haven's controversial ID card program and the "Becoming American" series, stories of immigrants and the citizenship process. When she's not in the newsroom, Lucy enjoys hiking around Connecticut - which helped break in her hiking boots for her honeymoon trek up to Machu Picchu. She also enjoys watching football and cheering for her hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. She lives in Middletown with her husband, Jason, and with their small zoo: Sidney, a labrador retriever-'kangaroo' mix, Lily, a silly hound dog, and kitties, Pancho and Charlie.
