Josh operates the Center’s Teen Legal Advocacy Project in Fairfield County. Based in Bridgeport, Josh runs a Teen Legal Clinic at Harding High School and works with teenagers in high schools, group homes, shelters, and other placements throughout Fairfield County, providing advice, referrals, and representation to help remove legal barriers that keep kids from graduating high school. Josh has worked with Fairfield County teens on housing, domestic violence, special education, denial of state benefits, homelessness, child protection, and immigration matters. Josh is fluent in Spanish and has done extensive outreach to Fairfield County’s large Hispanic immigrant population. Josh also advocates for legislative and administrative changes to address the needs of Connecticut’s indigent teenagers, especially those in Fairfield County. Before coming to CCA in 2007, Josh was a public defender in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and clerked for Justice Joseph Trainor of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He is an honors graduate of New York University and Boston University School of Law.
