Professor and Acting Chair of Information Systems & Operations Management Department
Fairfield University

Dr. James He is Professor and Acting Chair of Information Systems & Operations Management Department in the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. He has served as President (2006-07) and Fellow (since 2006) of the International Information Management Association (IIMA). James He is a member of the Editorial Board for the International Journal of Intercultural Information Management (IJIIM) and the Guest Editor of the special issue on Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence for the Journal of International Technology and Information Management (JITIM). His research interests include Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation, Six Sigma and Total Quality Management, Economics of Information Technology, and Business Process Reengineering in the United States and in China. He has published over 20 refereed research articles in such journal as Operations Research, Stochastic models, Total Quality Management, Naval Research Logistics, Information Systems Journal, International Journal of Production Economics, Harvard Business School Cases, and Asia American Review. Dr. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Systems, Operations Management, and Applied Business Statistics in Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business. In addition, Dr. James He served as a visiting professor for Beijing University’s International MBA Programs in China, a joint degree program between Beijing University and a group of US Jesuit universities.
