Gilbert Brown heads the Nuclear Engineering Program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.  His scholarly interests include: safety and economics of nuclear reactors and nuclear fuel cycle, cogeneration energy systems, and the characterization of AlB4C under neutron radiation and heat treatment.  Brown received his Ph.D in nuclear engineering from MIT in 1974.
