In June 2006, Fred Carstensen successfully contracted with the State of Connecticut to enable the Connecticut State Data Center. As Director of the Connecticut Center for Economic Analysis (CCEA) since 1997, Professor Carstensen has successful completed more than a 100 studies during his ten years' tenure. Concurrently, Carstensen has
been involved in the collection and preservation of Connecticut business archives since he came to UConn in 1982 as an Associate Professor.
Professor Carstensen graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Madison), and received both his MA and PhD from Yale University.
