Emma Wilcox is a photographer concerned with environmental justice, land usage, eminent domain, and the role of individual memory in the creation of local history. She is the recipient of a 07 NJSCA fellowship, a 08 Camera Club Of NY residency, and is a core participant in Night School at the New Museum. The work has been seen in an 07 solo exhibition, Forensic Landscapes at the Jersey City Museum, and will be the subject of another solo exhibition in 09, Salvage Rights at Real Art Ways, Hartford, CT. She is also co-founder of Gallery Aferro, a Newark alternative space, and lives by the river.
