Joy Gordon is a professor of philosophy at Fairfield University. She received her doctorate from Yale University, and her JD from Boston University School of Law. She has published extensively on issues of international relations and international law, particularly in the area of economic sanctions, including in Le Monde Diplomatique, Ethics and International Affairs, Arab Studies Quarterly, Yale Journal of Development and Human Rights Law, Harper's Magazine, and the Atlantic Monthly.
