Diane Orson is a reporter and producer for WNPR and a contributor to National Public Radio. Her stories have been heard on Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, Day to Day, as well as Living on Earth and Voice of America. She began at WBUR in Boston and came to Connecticut in 1988 as co-producer for Faith Middleton’s show, Open Air New England. In 1991, she shared a Peabody Award with Faith for their piece of radio nostalgia called "The Shubert Theatre: 75 Years of Memories". Diane’s work has been recognized by the Connecticut Society for Professional Journalists and the Associated Press, including the prestigious Ellen Abrams Award for Personal Excellence in Broadcasting. Diane is also an active professional musician. She lives in Hamden with her husband and two children.
