“Access and Equity: Can We Get Affordable Care to All of Connecticut?”

HARTFORD, Conn. (October 24, 2013) – On Thursday, November 7, WNPR/Connecticut Public Radio will hold its second WNPR Health Equity Forum, presented in partnership with the Connecticut Health Foundation. The event will be held at the WNPR headquarters at 1049 Asylum Avenue in Hartford from 5 to 7 p.m.

 

Attendees will have the chance to meet and mingle at a reception before participating in a town-hall style conversation recorded for WNPR’s Where We Live, and hosted by John Dankosky. The topic covered for the program will be “Access and Equity: Can We Get Affordable Care to All of Connecticut?”

The WNPR Health Equity Forum is presented as part of the station’s Health Equity Project. The WNPR Health Equity Project strives to create awareness and advance Health Equity among Connecticut residents, businesses, the educational community, the health care sector, community leaders and policymakers around the issue of the health disparities that exist in our state.

 

This event is free and open to adults 21 and up. Registration is required. WNPR headquarters are located at 1049 Asylum Ave., Hartford, Connecticut. Free on-site parking is available.
