Witness to Perfection: UConn Women’s Basketball 2009
For a team that has made a habit of breaking college basketball records with five previous NCAA Championships (two undefeated, no less), the 2008-2009 UConn Women’s Basketball team was truly exemplary…even by their own standards.
The UConn Huskies won every game this season by double digits, a feat never accomplished by any another team, male or female. They trailed their opponents for only 45 minutes for the entire season, including trailing only a total of 37 seconds after halftime. UConn plowed through the NCAA Tournament beating teams by no less than 19 points. Mike Lopresti of USA Today declared this year’s Huskies an unparalleled basketball dynasty. "Numerically, Connecticut [did] things never seen in the man’s world of basketball, no matter the team, no matter the level."
Now you can relive the entire jaw-dropping "39 and OHHH!" championship season with
