Will Hedgecock is establishing himself as the voice of a new generation of exceptional young performers. Born in Pensacola, Florida, and a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Hedgecock began singing with the renowned Pensacola Children’s Chorus when he was 8 years old. He traveled all over the world as the Chorus’ lead singer, and he even performed at the White House. Now he’s coming to PBS. Don’t miss this unique program entitled Will Hedgecock: Live from the Saenger Theatre, on Tuesday, June 8 at 9:30 p.m. on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV).
Recorded in 2009 at the historical and newly renovated Saenger Theater in downtown Pensacola, Will Hedgecock: Live from the Saenger Theatre features the young singer performing a selection of songs that range from timeless R&B and adult contemporary standards to classical. The concert also features members of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, along with various vocalists from Nashville, Tennessee, all handpicked by the legendary arranger Bergen White. Songs include Bobby Darin’s Dream Lover, Roy Orbison’s Crying, The Eagles’ Desperado, the classic Ava Maria and more.
During the broadcast of Will Hedgecock: Live from the Saenger Theatre, CPTV will offer viewers an opportunity to see Hedgecock at his upcoming local concert. Tickets will be offered through CPTV’s Red Carpet Experience series.
