Venus on Fire, Mars on Ice Author John Gray Visits the CPTV Studio to Introduce His New Special on Tuesday, February 16 at 8 p.m

Release Date: 02/08/2010

Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) welcomes author John Gray to the CPTV studio to introduce the new television special Venus on Fire, Mars on Ice, premiering Tuesday, February 16 at 8 p.m.

John Gray, author of the New York Times #1 bestselling book Men Are From Mars, Women Are from Venus, will be appearing live to introduce the new television special based on his latest relationship book, Venus on Fire, Mars on Ice. After 15 years of counseling couples, Gray has discovered the small shifts in behavior that lead to a healthier life.

“I spent the last 15 years teaching couples how to make small shifts in their behavior that would stimulate an abundance of the hormones of desire and love with the consequence of a healthier, happier life at any age,” said Gray, “What I discovered is the key for turning Venus-Mars relationships into the fountain of youth.”

In the television special, Gray elaborates on this discovery. With insight and humor, he explains the connections between male-female interactions, hormones, love, desire and health. According to Gray, both men and women can stimulate healthy hormones that help control the hormone cortisol – a hormone that produces stress, high blood sugar levels and even body fat. Gray believes that the secret to a strong relationship is understanding how these hormones work in oneself and one’s partner, and how they can be stimulated to the greatest advantage.

Gray alsointroduces the concept of using “super-oxytocin producers” – which include certain foods, exercise regimens, and sleep patterns – to boost love and romance while promoting enhanced physical health in general. Of course, he also includes his secrets to strong communication and increased sexual desire between partners.

John Gray has appeared on Oprah, The Today Show, CBS Morning Show, Good Morning America, The Early Show, The View, Politically Incorrect, and Larry King. He has been profiled in Newsweek, Time, Forbes, USA Today, TV Guide and People, among others. Venus on Fire, Mars on Ice is his seventeenth book, and it aims to help couples and individuals keep their relationships – and their bodies – strong and healthy.

Venus on Fire, Mars on Ice premieres on CPTV on Tuesday, February 16 at 8 p.m. Tune in for all the innovative tips, and for the live introduction from the author himself.
