Steve Miller Band has sold over 25 million albums worldwide – and it is no wonder with hits like “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Rock’n Me” and “Take the Money and Run.” Now you can enjoy their concert, in high definition, from Chicago’s Ravinia Theater this Saturday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m. on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV). During this CPTV Red Carpet special, viewers will also learn how they can see the Steve Miller Band live at their next area concert with an exclusive and limited meet-and-greet opportunity backstage.
Mike Stevens, on-air personality for Big D 102.9 FM (WDRC), will also be appearing in CPTV’s Chase Family Studio for the broadcast.
The band, composed of Steve Miller, Norton Buffalo, Gordy Knudtson, Kenny Lee Lewis, Billy Peterson and Joseph Wooten, has been together for over forty years. Their music continues to be popular with each new generation, as their music remains a staple on classic rock radio stations and their nationwide tours invariably sell out quickly.
Steve Miller was presented with the ASCAP Golden Note Award in April of 2008, an honor presented to songwriters, composers and artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones.
Steve Miller Band: Live in Chicago includes the following hit songs:
• “Fly Like an Eagle”
• “Dance, Dance, Dance”
• “Wild Mountain Honey”
• “Rock’n Me”
• “Take the Money and Run”
• “The Joker”
