The Red Hot Chilli Pipers Return to CPTV This Summer with Their Acclaimed Television Special

Release Date: 07/28/2010

A CPTV Red Carpet Event

Since they walked away with the top prize on the UK BBC One primetime TV talent show, When Will I Be Famous, in 2007, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers haven't stopped for a breath, other than to inflate their bagpipes! The hit musicians, who visited the Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) studio in June, are back on the CPTV airwaves on Saturday, July 31 at 1 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 1 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. In addition, viewers will have a chance during each airing to learn about exclusive CPTV ticket opportunities to the Chillis’ September 10 and 11, 2010, Connecticut concerts as well as meet & greet after-concert events.

Taking their signature “Bagrock” to the masses, the Chillis have fast become a global phenomenon, rocking international shores from Beijing to New York and everywhere in between. Featuring the classic Red Hot Chilli Pipers sound – a fusion of traditional pipe tunes and contemporary anthems – “Bagrock” includes the likes of “'Clocks” by Coldplay, Queen's “We Will Rock You” and a rock medley of Deep Purple's “Smoke on the Water.”

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have headlined huge festivals, packed famous venues and performed at the biggest of corporate events. Their modern spin on incredible piping and astounding drumming offers a show guaranteed to amaze any audience, providing a genuinely unique musical experience.
