Nikki Yanofsky: Live in Montreal Premieres Saturday, June 5 at 6 p.m. on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV)

Millions of people were first introduced to 16-year-old singer Nikki Yanofsky when she performed during the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. This rising star from Canada makes her PBS debut with Nikki Yanofsky: Live in Montreal on Saturday, June 5 at 6 p.m. on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV), with an encore presentation at 9 p.m.
To Canadian audiences Nikki is already a well-known accomplished singer. Born in Hampstead, Quebec, Nikki started her career at the young age of 14 as the hit of the Montreal Music Festival and has recently reached triple platinum sales of Canada’s # 1 selling single: Dare to Dream.
Her unique blend of jazz and classic pop makes her an original gem. Now PBS audiences will be exposed to her style along with original songs in her new special in high definition at the legendary Mercure Theatre in Montreal. Songs include I Got Rhythm, Over the Rainbow, Sunny Side of the Street and Circle Game.
During the broadcast of Nikki Yanofsky: Live in Montreal, CPTV will offer viewers an opportunity to see Nikki at her upcoming local concert. Tickets will be offered through CPTV’s Red Carpet experience series.
