CPTV and Ruckus Media Group Develop Mobile Platform with Unique Content for Kids and Families
The CPTV-branded iOS mobile platform – known as the CPTV Kids App – is now available for free via the App Store and features downloadable videos, eBooks and interactive books from top names in children’s entertainment, including Curious George, The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That and Sid the Science Kid. This new mobile delivery and engagement platform was developed by Ruckus Media Group, an independent family entertainment company, and Connecticut Public Television (CPTV).
This mobile platform:
· Offers content for kids and parents, when and where they want it, without relying on a Wi-Fi connection; all content can be fully downloaded for instant access at any time across all iOS devices;
· Provides parents useful analysis of their children’s reading and learning engagement while using the platform;
· Enables CPTV supporters to "purchase with a purpose" digital products within the store, with the ability to give directly to support their local station; and
· Offers email communication featuring educational tips and other useful information for parents and their children.
The CPTV mobile app is available for Apple’s iPad, iPad mini, iTouch, and iPhone via the App Store. Ruckus and CPTV have future advancements in development for this platform, including a CPTV mobile app for adults, as well as mobile apps for other systems, including Android.
The CPTV Kids App is presented by Big Y® World Class Markets®.
