The Music and Dance of Poland: Mazowsze Comes to CPTV in August

A CPTV Red Carpet Experience

Premiers Saturday, July 31 at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., with encore presentations on Sunday, August 1 at noon and 4:30 p.m. and Monday, August 2 at 10:30 p.m.  

Over thirty ethnic varieties are featured during the special Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) presentation of The Music and Dance of Poland: Mazowsze, premiering on Saturday, July 31 at 11:30 a.m., with an encore airing at 4 p.m. The television broadcast, featuring the incomparable Mazowsze (Mah-ZOF-sha) performance troupe, will also air on Sunday, August 1 at noon and 4:30 p.m. and Monday, August 2 at 10:30 p.m. In addition, CPTV will feature exclusive ticket, plus meet & greet, opportunities to the troupe’s upcoming concert event during each special presentation.
 
The Music and Dance of Poland: Mazowsze is a thrilling visual display of dazzling movement, vibrant color and stunning beauty. The performance troupe whirls and leaps, stamps and glides in an outpouring of sound and motion, rhythm and music that celebrates the cultural legacy of Poland. Polish-American entertainer Bobby Vinton narrates.

A full 23-member orchestra plays music ranging from Chopin to simple folk melodies beloved by the Poles for centuries. Strategically mounted high-definition cameras and microphones capture this stellar performance, recorded live at the Polish National Opera House in Warsaw, Poland.
