The Pond House Cafe, 1555 Asylum Ave., W. Hartford, CT
Tickets: $50 per person
Colin McEnroe, host of WNPR’s The Colin McEnroe Show, will serve as host of the WNPR Bone Bash on Tuesday, October 26 at 6:30 p.m. This spirited evening of food, fun, costumes and music will be held at West Hartford’s Pond House Café, which will be transformed into a special Halloween spectacle complete with wandering skeletons, seasonal decorations and more.
The WNPR Bone Bash is sponsored by the New England Musculoskeletal Institute at UConn Health Center.
Guests of the WNPR Bone Bash will enjoy a menu that follows the evening’s bone-related theme, including bone-in entrées, such as spare ribs and rack of lamb, as well as bone-shaped meringue desserts. The sumptuous four-course dinner will be artfully prepared with local ingredients by chefs from the following restaurants:
- The Pond House Café, West Hartford
- Plan B, West Hartford and Glastonbury
Adding to the festivities, bartenders will be pouring seasonal craft beers and root beer floats from Lake Placid Brewing Company – known as one of the best craft brewers in the Northeast.
A live jazz band, wait staff dressed as skeletons, and up to 100 guests (costumes are encouraged, but not required) will add to the lively atmosphere at the WNPR Bone Bash. And of course, popular radio show host Colin McEnroe of WNPR’s The Colin McEnroe Show will mingle with party guests throughout the evening, serving up his magical potion of wit and humor. McEnroe will also have the honor of awarding the evening’s prize for Best Costume.
Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance. To obtain tickets, contact Amy Williamson at awilliamson@wnpr.org or call (860) 275-7540.
