GameTime on CTSN, a new weekly high school and college sports preview show, debuts on Thursday, September 17 at 7 p.m. on CTSN. Connecticut Sports Network (CTSN) is Connecticut’s first-ever 24-hour local sports network. A combined effort of CPTV and WFSB-TV, CTSN is available on Comcast cable channels 185 and 187 and on the Cox Communications cable system channel 144.
Veteran sportscasters Joe Zone and John Holt of WFSB-TV will cover the sports action hitting the field every week in Connecticut. In addition, the show will feature interviews with coaches, players and sportswriters from across the state, offering insights and analysis on the sports scene in Connecticut.
“Before you head out to a game, you’re going to want to tune in and see what the best match-ups are; where your team stands in the rankings; and what are the most exciting games in the state,” said Zone, WFSB-TV sports director. “John and I have spent the past five years dedicated to covering high school sports in Connecticut. We’re excited to bring that dedication to CTSN,” added Zone.
Sports writers Mark Jaffee of the Republican-American and Sean Bowley of the Connecticut Post and Hearst Connecticut Newspapers will be the guests on the first episode of GameTime on CTSN on September 17.
