This past season the Huskies have done what no team has done before, win two consecutive national championships with two undefeated seasons. At 78 straight wins, the team is ten games away from the NCAA men’s basketball record (John Wooden’s 88-game bender at UCLA). The road to a third straight and record-tying 8th program national championship will not be an easy one; the Huskies have one of the toughest schedules in the NCAA, facing 22 teams from the 2010 NCAA tournament, seven teams that finished in the Top Ten, and all three other teams that made it to last year’s Final Four.
Despite the road that lies ahead, preseason prognosticators Athlon, Lindy’s Sports, and The Sporting News have all selected the defending national champions as No. 1 in preseason ranking.
By signing up for Hoop Streams, UConn fans won’t miss a second as the Huskies look to extend their record 78-game winning streak and perhaps take home their third straight national championship!
